Namaste Dear Parents,

We will begin with the new academic year on the 16th of March and it is going to be another busy and exciting term, with lots of learning opportunities and new experiences. We know you will continue to work with us, so your child can grow in confidence, with a love of learning and a determination to be the best.
Here’s the fortnightly round up of the medley of activities at Suchitra. Please read on for some interesting news from the Campus….
In the Pre-primary section, we have enjoyed working with all of the children in our care. We have seen growth, development and skill acquisition in all of them. Our Sr. KG kids will be 1st graders very soon. We wish them ‘All the Best’.
The Pre-primary year end ‘PAJAMA PARTY’ was held on Saturday, 4th March. The Nursery kids enjoyed their time playing musical chairs, passing the parcel and bowling game.
The Jr. KG kids enjoyed dressing themselves up as little prince and princess. They also enjoyed tailing the elephant and blind fold game.
Sr. KG kids enjoyed balancing balloons on their back and the paper dance was fun too. Jumping and trying to eat the hung cookies with their hands.
Kids enjoyed snacking on Noodles and Manchuria and quenched their thirst with Nimboo pani. The evening came to an end with a free dance session.Story time was a thrilling experience for kids, as they rolled on the mattress with their favourite toy, while listening to stories in the dark.

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
To ensure that the students get access to the best books for their reading levels and interests a BOOK FAIR by SCHOLASTIC is being held from 6th -11th March. It was an exploratory time on 6th and 7th, when kids browsed through books about real-life experiences, fun facts, love and friendship. Popular, age-appropriate titles to engage older readers, relevant topics and current, relatable issues attracted even the reluctant readers. On 11th Saturday, when you come for the PMI, you will be able to buy the books your children have browsed through and selected.
Tuesday, 7th April was the last day of school for Grades I to VII. It was a cause for celebration and CLASS PARTY for Grades I to VII. Grade I had a fabulous time in the pool along with their teacher. The students had brought food from home and organized a full- fledged pot-luck party in the classroom, complete with music, games and dance. It was a very enjoyable afternoon for the students before the term end break.
We are certain that the yummy food and the fun and frolic would remain as good memories throughout the year. Also we would like to thank the parents who went that extra mile to cook all those dishes, much shared and relished by all.
PMI (Parent Mentor Interaction) is scheduled for Saturday, 11th March for all the classes. Please fill in the feedback forms and drop at the DROP POINT so that we can look into your feedback and your valuable suggestions. Lost property , if unclaimed on PMI Day will be donated to an orphanage.

Teachers correcting essays in English find some amazing thoughts reflected by our young minds- I present to you one such- what a Class VI child thinks about the partition of India–
I sign off this Academic Year with the only advice for all of us, that I can think of-
IT’S NOT ABOUT BEING THE BEST
IT’S ABOUT BEING BETTER THAN YOU WERE YESTERDAY AND YET AGAIN.
Let us all strive towards that.
