News from the PRE-PRIMARY
It is hard to believe that this is our last newsletter for this academic year. Our preschool year is winding up and our Sr. KG kids will be off to Grade 1.
0n Thursday 24th February, we stood proud for a new beginning, as our Little Ones moved forward from Kindergarten to Grade one.
The occasion was graced by Ms. Archana Bhagat the founder of Cubs Pre-school.
The Juniors of Pre Primary- Jr KG, Nursery and Play Group sang and danced and entertained their Seniors as they bid Good Bye to them.
The passing out Class of Sr. KG received their first diplomas with pride and confidence. These will be our future high school graduates, moving forward to yet another new beginning in their life chapters.
The poignant ceremony struck a chord with all and the Chief Guest applauded the great efforts put in by the children.

TALK ON IMPORTANCE OF SCIENCE
On Tuesday, 16th February a talk on IMPORTANCE OF SCIENCE AND STEM CELL RESEARCH IN OUR LIVES was given by Dr P Dasardi, Assistant Research Investigator/Wellcome DBT Fellow at Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine, National Centre for Biological Sciences, Bangalore.
He explained with simple examples Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution and how natural selection and adaptation is the cause of survival of some species. He spoke at length about stem cell regeneration and multi cellularity and the extensive research being done in our country in this field. He also explained what causes the process of ageing and answered various BRILLIANT questions put forth by the students. This interactive session was amazing, very informative and highlighted stem cell research as the future of medicine.
Gr -X FAREWELL
Saturday, 20th February was a red letter day in the lives of all the students of grade X. It was the day of their FAREWELL, a day that they were eagerly awaiting and preparing for. The air was full of excitement and the students of grade IX were well prepared to give their seniors a befitting farewell. The students of grade X arrived, flamboyant and dressed to kill, and were escorted to their seats by the students of grade IX. The entire MP hall was beautifully decorated. The program began with a few dance and songs followed by a hilarious skit which depicted how each student would turn out fifteen years later. Then followed the ramp walk and the question answer session. Titles like Ms Gorgeous, Mr Bolt, Mr.Rock star etc were given to the students. A beautiful farewell gift in the form of a photograph calendar, which had a collection of photographs of each child collected over the year, was given to the students. They were ecstatic on opening their gift. The afternoon ended with a sumptuous lunch and a dance session. After all this, the grade X students took a round of the school and had a last look at their classroom. A classroom where they studied, played pranks, forged everlasting friendships and had the best time of their lives. Departure was tearful and the students left the premises with a heavy heart.
We wish them all the very best for their upcoming exams and are sure that they would bring laurels to the school.
