VARIOUS PROFESSIONS (PARENT VISIT)
Through the theme ’Community Helpers’ children learnt that community helpers are people who work together to make the community a better place for everyone. To make learning more effective parents were invited on Tuesday, 11th September to talk on various community helpers. We would like to thank Ms Neha Singla who came dressed as a ‘Baker’ and briefed children about the role of a Baker in the society. We would also thank Ms Manjeet who spoke about the role of a teacher. Children also learnt that many community helpers have easily identifiable work attire or uniform and some community helpers also have identifiable means of transport.
ORANGE COLOUR DAY
Our Pre-primary kids celebrated Orange Colour Day on Friday, 14th September, with great zeal and zest. The children did activities using the colour orange and learnt interesting facts about it. Our little kids and teachers were dressed in shades of vibrant orange colour. They were given a thorough understanding of the colour orange through different activities, such as how to get the secondary colour by mixing two primary colours red and yellow.
The pre-primary students put up a ‘Theme-end’ presentation on Thursday, 20th September of their learning over the past themes. It was amazing to see our youngest lot the Nursery kids perform the action song. The Jr. KG kids remarkably performed the season story. Our Sr. KG kids continued to mesmerize the crowd with their performance on ‘India a Great Nation’. It was overall a captivating show by our Pre-primary kids.

After an interactive session, various events like tambola and art competitions were conducted for the inmates, by our students. They distributed the gifts that they had got for them. A group dance “Let’s Nacho” which was choreographed by them during the Special Activity periods at school, was presented. The children were overwhelmed with the affection they got at the orphanage.
Likewise, the students of Grade V C and V D interacted with the children of Ayush Nilayam Orphanage. They welcomed the group of students from the orphanage with a dance and a song. They presented the orphanage kids with greeting cards that they had made themselves and gifts such as notebooks, pencils, colors, other stationery and toiletry products. After this, the children got into groups for quality circle time. The main motive of the quality circle time was to understand and share what each one aspires to be in life and why.

Dear parents we live and exist in scary times. And gadget addition is an everyday reality.
You need to let the kids know that it is extremely harmful to chat and be friends with people whom they don’t know. Posting and sharing photographs and personal information on these sites is extremely dangerous. There is no dearth of frightening cases all around. Things don’t always happen to ‘OTHERS’. We could easily be those ‘others’.
I request all of you to please do spot checks of your children’s laptop and mobile phones at home as you never know who they could be following and who could be following them on these sites!
Our students are very dear to us hence this needs utmost attention. I would like to inform you that we have blocked all such sites at school and request you to support us in this regard. The onus is on us to educate them and that’s the only way ahead.
We seek your cooperation and understanding to take this forward. Let’s not forget, we’re in it together!
With the exams just ahead, I am sure you are spending quality time with your children and helping them revise their lessons. Please ensure a balanced timetable and adequate sleep. All the best to the children and probably you too who must equally be psyched up and tense.
