Namaste Dear Parents,

NEWS FROM PRE-PRIMARY
“While we try to teach our children all about life, our children teach us what life is all about.“
It was a fortnight full of gaiety and fervour..
Please read on for some interesting news from the Suchitra pre-primary….
COOKING WITHOUT FIRE
‘Is it possible to cook without fire?’ ‘Yes very much possible!’ says the pre primary.
The students of Jr. KG fostered their creativity by cooking without fire on Monday, 20th November. Parents had an important role to play, wherein they were asked to get all the ingredients and tools required for the preparation of the dish. Parents teamed up with their children and prepared some amazing dishes to display their culinary tastes and ideas. Children merrily followed their parents’ instructions, and developed their skills through this activity. Every parent then displayed their dishes and explained how it was prepared. It was amazing to hear kids list out the ingredients and say the procedure of the dish they prepared. After the completion of the activity, children relished eating the delicious dishes.
CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION
Children’s day was celebrated on Thursday, 23rd November. It was a day when fun and frolic dominated. Children arrived at school, dressed up in colourful clothes and were full of excitement. The students had a lovely surprise to begin their day; they were gifted with very cute minion badges, which all the children loved. They continued to have a good time and were treated to a special meal. To make the day even more special for our children the teachers danced to the tune of some energetic and fun soundtracks.
Playing is so important in the life of a child. They are never ‘just’ playing they are learning how the world works, developing social skills and so much more through playful interactions.
The FOOD COURT activity on Thursday , 30th November was yet another fun filled activity which gave kids practice with reading, math, social interactions and also contained a good dose of fun too!
USE OF HAND SANITIZER
World Health Organization (WHO) and doctors recommend use of hand sanitizers as part of hand hygiene. With the flu season upon us, we are taking preventive actions to stop the spread of flu germs, by making hand sanitizer available in all classrooms. Children are made to use the sanitizer before every meal to protect themselves from all infections.

The programme ended on a crescendo with students walking down from among the audience with balloons fitted with LED lights. All the hard work was paid off when the audience gave a standing ovation applauding the picturesque history of Hindustan presented by the children. In fact the presentation was nothing short of brilliant and took the entire audience by storm! Thank you parents. You couldn’t stop raving about the programme !

More so, because of the appreciation that came our way from everyone of you. Most of our compliments have come orally. It would be lovely if a few more of you could write in to us as to what you thought of the overall programme.
My hearty compliments to all of you dear parents, as you were most cooperative, be it restricting the guest list or parking issues or patiently waiting for the programme to end- It was commendable ! My heart swells with pride to be caring for children of such amazing, aware and cooperative parents. That’s really three cheers for all of you !
We have resumed regular classes and other regular activities for Grade IV to X.
December has some exciting things happening with Grade PP to Grade III and you shall hear more of that too.
We have started admissions (conditional) from PP to Grade XI and invite you to pass on the word.
