LAST BREATH

Beautiful it was, for a while

Until I ran out

Out of air

Completely out

 Deformed, I thought I was

Tiny, fragile and barren

Gasping for air

Just a little bit

So I can live that one second longer

Ephemeral, not something I wanted to be

I gave it all I had

Every joule of energy

All of my frail heart

And all of me

I saw the halo

And I knew

The time has come

Happy, ever after

An ode to Chester Bennington, lead singer and front man of Linkin Park, a popular rock band among youngsters of today who died an unnatural death on July 20th, 2017.

Miss You

This poem is to you, whose songs were the sweetest plum.

Without you, I’d never learn to hum.

Your songs were the ones I always felt,

With them, all my problems could be dealt.

My life would have no emotion, if not for you.

I don’t know why you did it,

And I’m sure you had a good reason.

But I don’t want to listen.

As you’ve taught me,

Over all these years,

As depression nears,

You always have an option.

When you said nobody is perfect,

You couldn’t be more correct.

You said you were holding on,

But you could’ve a little longer.

All I have to say is- you shouldn’t have done it.

You shouldn’t have waited for the end.

For you belong on Earth,

With us.

I just hope you’re happy,

Wherever you are.

Because if you are,

I am too.

Before I go,

I just wanted you to know.

I will miss you Chester,

My love is with you,

Forever and ever.
