Here’s the fortnightly round up of the week that had our 71st Independence Day too.

NEWS FROM PRE-PRIMARY

This week was filled with colourful celebrations, inspiring competitive talks and fun visits.

JANMASHTAMI CELEBRATIONS

Janmashtami festival was celebrated with great zeal and pomp by the children of Pre-primary at Suchitra Academy on Thursday, 10th August. Children came in, dressed as Krishna and Radha. The pre-primary was decorated colourfully to mark the birth of the deity. Children celebrated the occasion by singing and dancing with great joy. The ‘Matki Todh’ ceremony also happened amidst much enthusiasm.

 VISIT TO THE POLICE STATION

As a part of the ongoing theme ‘Community Helpers’ the tiny tots of kindergarten visited a nearby police station on Friday, 11th August, to become more knowledgeable about the community helper ‘A Police Officer’. They were excited to see police officers dressed in their uniforms and were curious to see their equipment. They were given a brief tour of all the control rooms in the police station and were inquisitive to learn how police officers catch thieves and safeguard lives.

20645571_1809191025763135_1825778990841262192_oPatriotic fervour in children is an exciting part of pre-school. With so many events and holidays to celebrate Indian traditional festivals  and national festivals, it has been easy to talk to children about India.TALK ON OUR NATIONAL LEADERS

To imbibe great qualities of our national leaders and also to help build confidence and effective communication skills among our (bundles of talent) children, a competitive talk on our National Leaders was held on Friday, 18th  August. The efforts of teachers and cooperation of parents clearly reflected through this activity.

 

UNITY IN DIVERSITY

A special assembly was conducted on Thursday, 17th August, to celebrate the richud culture of India. The colours of India were showcased by our pre-primary teachers, who were traditionally attired representing different states of our country. The message conveyed was that these dresses carry with them our age old traditions that keep us connected to our roots and make us enjoy our vibrant culture.

GREEN DAY

Green Day was celebrated on Friday, 18th August 2017, in an instructive way. Children learned about the importance of green colour and the positive effects it has on our lives. The shades of green filled the air with freshness and bliss. It was indeed an invigorating, reviving and rejuvenating experience.

NEWS FROM HIGH SCHOOL

It is rightly said, ” Reading gives us a place to go when we have no place to go’ and Grade III C reminded us of this through their special assembly presentation on the topic THE WORLD IN MY HAND- A BOOK on Friday, 21st July. Students spoke about the joys of reading in addition to dancing to the beat of a song praising books.SPECIAL ASSEMBLIES

Grade II A showcased GIVING as the theme through their assembly presentation- THE 2a1GIVING TREE by Shel Silverstein on Wednesday, 9thAugust. The class focussed on parents being the biggest givers of all time. Videos of quality time that they spent with their children were displayed in addition to a dramatized version of the story and song presented by the children.

It is about how we have lost internal and external silence in the techno- noisy world and the ways of achieving it through simple means. They also showed  how and when silence can be exercised to make our lives easier and more enjoyable.

 

SALUTING THE SPIRIT OF INDIA

INDEPENDENCE DAY was celebrated in our school to mark the 71st year of freedom from the British rule.
The programme started with flag hosting by our Managing-Director, Mr.Praveen Raju. On this patriotic occasion, the students of Grade VI showcased a colorful presentation of India’s vision, through their performance, depicting different facets of our glorious freedom struggle AND THE STRUGGLES THAT EXIST TODAY TOO.

And to keep with the ideology of the day, members of the ISHA FOUNDATION spoke id r3about the need to raise awareness about the rivers which are the life of India, but are depleting and the need to be proactive about it.

 

 

 

HARITHA HARAM – SAPLING PLANTING AND DISTRIBUTION BY P.V. SINDHU & GHMC COMMISSIONER B. JANARDHAN REDDY

On Wednesday, 16th August P.V. Sindhu Olympic Silver Medallist, Shri P.V. Ramana, Arjuna Awardee, Shri B. Janardhan Reddy, GHMC Commissioner, Shri Sudhamsh, Dy Commissioner, GHMC graced the occasion. The students were introduced to the Haritha Haram project of the Government of Telangana. The students’ excitement knew no bounds when they saw P.V. Sindhu walking about in the campus.  While addressing the students, Sindhu emphasized on the need to strike a balance between studies and sports.

Suchitra Badminton Academy, the first of its kind sports school for Badminton in India had its formal inauguration. The academy was formally inaugurated by P.V. Sindhu on Wednesday, 16th August. She appreciated the concept of integrating studies with badminton coaching and was amazed at the well-equipped facility.

Hence life goes on at Suchitra. Action packed, fun and educative where every child must get the opportunity remains the by word and the Mantra.

I must acknowledge that turn up has tremendously improved and defaulters are few.

I must also acknowledge that parking woes are much lesser too. I am sure it’s a result of your showing restraint and patience.
