“Creativity is contagious, pass it on” Albert Einstein.

We are happy to keep you posted about the various events and happenings at Suchitra Pre-school!!

Understanding poems makes children more sensitive and they gain confidence as they learn to speak more accurately and persuasively about any piece of writing. Keeping this in mind Inter School Recitation competition was organised by our school on Tuesday , 25th July with full zest and enthusiasm.

‘Live, Create, Tell the story, Repeat’. We hosted an Inter School Story telling competition for students on Wednesday, 26th July.  Students from various schools participated with great enthusiasm and came up with the most interesting stories. The performance of the students was adjudged on the basis of their dramatization, confidence level and expressions. Ishaanvi of Sr. KG ‘A’ bagged the 1st prize.

‘Creativity is not an option, it is essential’ and focusing on the same, we at Suchitra Academy celebrated our Theme End Presentation on Friday, 28th July, amidst great vibrancy and elation. The programme based on ‘Change is constant and Machines’ commenced with a beautiful prayer song followed by scintillating dance performances and very well-enacted skits. The stage presence and poise the children showed while speaking their pieces left us thrilled and you all in awe. !!!!   The programme culminated with the National Anthem.

Remain curious and keep learning, and so on Tuesday , 1st August, our new theme ‘Discovery of India and People who help us’ was introduced to the students through a brief PowerPoint Presentation. In this theme children will be learning about various facts of our country India. They will also learn about what ‘community’ is and  community helpers’ role in our lives.

Grade III D presented a much needed reminder through a special assembly titled BE A RAINBOW IN SOMEONE ELSE’S CLOUD on Tuesday, 1st August. Dear parents, I have sent a mail the other day regarding turn out and discipline issues. Hope you have had the time to go through it. Kindly make a note of all that is mentioned there. I, once again, seek your help in all our endeavours and I am sure you will pitch in.As usual it has been a very hectic two weeks and we seem to be heading into yet another similar time ahead. It is by choice because whatever we do, we do, with the conviction that it is the best possible way to provide for our children.

Another area where you will have to help yourself and the school is parking issues during arrival and departure times. There is no way the school can provide parking to the ever increasing number of cars. I am sure you would not want us to destroy our beautiful campus for that purpose.

Then what is the option ?

Well ! as I see it, the only option is to respect what the team of security and our school people is telling you and to exercise some patience and respect for all others (including other parents and school staff). Being rude or abusive or impatient will only make matters worse. Kindly do not park, blocking other cars or our buses exit routes. If there is no place then wait while some place gets done. It will happen, since no one has come to school to stay here. Let’s set good examples for our children. This will help all of us. This is my sincere plea to all.

Warm Regards

Renu Shorey
