Namaste Dear Parents,
We have moved smoothly into the last few days of this academic year and the school remains busy with many events. We proceed into preparation for the term-end examinations and our focus is on refining the performance of our students.
Here’s the fortnightly round up of the medley of activities at Suchitra. Please read on for some interesting news from the Campus….
“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning”
It is amazing, but it is the final month of this academic year. This year has flown by so quickly and the children have grown so much. The Preschoolers had a busy year learning to read and write. We are so proud of their accomplishments this year and will continue to work throughout February on our reading and writing skills. We are very proud of each child’s development. They have all grown a great deal socially as well. The last few weeks of school are going to be very busy as we are preparing to bid farewell to our Sr. KG kids

Saturday , 4th February Parent Mentor Interaction was an overwhelming day for us. It was great to hear parents, few with teary eyes appreciating the hard work put in by our teachers through the year. We will try our best to work on the few suggestions and requests made by our parents for the new academic year.

ART GALLERY DISPLAY
An ART AND CRAFT exhibition was held on Saturday, 4th February. Students were invited to get creative. This exhibition was an opportunity for the students to display their creative side, either through art or craft, needle work, drawing etc. Articles made by students of Grades 1 to 10 were on display. Parents visited the exhibition and were impressed with their children’s work.
PROJECT-BASED LEARNING is a dynamic approach in which the students actively explore real-world problems, challenges and acquire a deeper knowledge. The students of Grades I-VII made their presentations on Tuesday, 7th February and Wednesday, 8th February respectively. Each class had identified a ‘real problem’ like Child labour, Farm to plate, Social and Religious Reforms, Science of Culture, ‘Are we Sensitive?’ and Celebrating India. In this process, students also honed their organizational and research skills, developed better communication with their peers, audience and worked within their community while seeing the positive effect of their work.

Dear Parents ,
SA2 and Test portions have already been sent and I am sure you are spending some time with your children to help them revise. Many Subjects revisions have started in school too. If the children have been regular in their study habits, there will be no cause for concern. We have always ensured that we get feedback from you parents- please do have a glance at the last page where parents have commented on the Project Based Learning that was conducted in classes this last week and for which we got an overwhelming response.
Please keep the Portion and Date Sheet well preserved as in the past I have seen kids come to school prepared for a wrong subject on the day.
